30 Beauty Question Tag

Hi everyone today I decided to change things up a little bit and do a tag since I haven't done one here yet. I was scrolling around google and found this cool tag " 30 Beauty Question " and It looked interesting, hope everyone enjoys it.

1. Do you remember your first makeup item?

I actually do, it was one of those Barbie lipsticks that tasted like bubble gum. I clearly remember eating the lipstick with my cousin because it tasted that good (really doubt it was safe but hey I'm still alive lol ).

2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?

My perfect mascara would be one that give you maximum length and volume at the same time but doesn't make your lashes extremely clumpy. I have managed to find 2 mascaras that layering them on top of each other kinda does the effect I love. One of those mascaras is no longer available in stores at all so I get it on Ebay is the Maybelline Pulse Perfection vibrating mascara, the other mascara that I put on top of it is by toofaced Better Than Sex mascara.

 3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation?

I prefer my foundation to be a medium coverage because my face does not require full coverage.

4. Favorite high end brand?

Both- it really depends on the product.

5. What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven't?

Colorpop Cosmetics.

6. Favorite drugstore brand?

NYX Cosmetics and Maybelline-so far are the products that I find myself picking up because they both have good eyeshadows, lipsticks, concealers are great.

7. Do you wear fake eyelashes?

I don't because unfortunately I am allergic to the lash glue :'( .

8. Is there any kind of makeup you can't leave the house without?

Sometimes just my lipsticks, the color really depends on my mood and also what I am wearing that day but lately ive been enjoying myself the lipgloss by NYX in Natural.

9. What is your most cherised beauty product?

10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once?

Very very often I am always on the look out for new products coming out.

11. Do you have a "beauty budget" or you spend freely?

I do, If I see something that I might want to buy I'm not sure because I might already have a dupe for it (is mostly on lipsticks) then I wont buy it, that way it would save me some money .

12. Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics?

Sometimes when I get the Ulta coupons.

13. What type of product do you buy the most of?

Eyeliners and Eyeshadow palettes.

14. Is there a brand that you absolutely can't stand?

I don't think so.

15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates?

Is always good to find products that don't have them but it doesn't really bother me as long as the product works for me.

16. Do you have a favorite place to shop for makeup?

DUHHH!!! Sephora and Ulta.

17. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?

Like I have mentioned before I have a very sensitive so I rather stay with my same routine.

18. Favorite bath and body brand?

Lush, Bath and Body works, U Soap and Glory.

19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?

That's a hard one for me because I really cant choose between MAC and Urban Decay.

20. What brand do you think has the best packaging?

Benefit has amazing packaging but MAC does a great job aswell.

21. Which celebrity always has great makeup?

Jennifer Lopez.

No.

Not really I find them to not work so good on me.

Not really unless I am in a really big rush.

Yes and my favorites are MAC's Soft Ochre, UD Primer Potion, Limecrime eyeshadow primer, Toofaced Shadow Insurance and the Maybelline Color Tattoos.

27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day?

When I wash my hair I use Redkens shampoo and conditioner,then I apply some argan oil on the tips and blow dry my hair, sometimes I iron it sometines I don't.

28. What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?

Concealer.

29. Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?

Yes that would be awesome but currently I don't have the time for it :(.

30. What is your favorite powder for baking?

I recommend using Airspun translucent powder.

Daily routine + review on Kiehl's Procuts.

Today i want to tell you about my skin care routine and what I think about the Kiehl's products.

I could not live without my Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser for all skin types, in my opinion this is a great cleanser because Is not only gentle with your skin but it also removes all makeup that the makeup remover did not remove.

Next would be something that I have been using ever since I was about 13 years old I believe and it is St Ives Apricot Scrub ( the original ). Because this is a very strong exfoliator I only use it 3 times a week but it leaves your face feeling like a baby's bottom literally.

For the rest of my skin care routine I use the products Kiehl's, I love this brand because depending on your skin type they will recommend you a routine that works for you. for example I have oily skin therefore my routine is not going to be the same as the one of somebody with combo skin or with dry skin.

The routine that Kiehl's provided for me is the following:

Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate- The serum is the most important part in a skin care routine because it delivers great ingredients that go deep into your skin's outer layer.

Midnight Recovery Concentrate- This is a great night cream because after you have applied your serum this will help your skin to replenish by the morning.

Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado- Is a very gentle cream, what I have are heavy eye bags that are hard to cover but this cream have reduced my eye bags by at least a 60% since I started using it. the only thing I can say about this products is that I LOVE IT !!!!

Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel- Cream- This is awesome because is a 24hr moisture, shine free, and non-greasy moisturizer that works wonders in the skin it was formulated with Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract and Antarcticine to help skin retain moisture and as it sets into the skin it has this cooling effect that is really awesome.

Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+- This is the only product that i have a love- hate relationship, I love it because it protects me very well from the sun, and i hate it because I feel that is too thick and it makes my face feel heavy.

My overall opinion on the Kiehl's products is that they are great and well worth the price because they are a lil on the pricey side.

Selena 2016 MAC collection.

We all know Selna Quintanilla but if you don't here goes a little resume of who she was.

Selena Quintanilla was a very beautiful Mexican-American singer whose life was cut short at her early age of 23. This collection was created with the help of Selena's sister Suzette. The entire collection is a 13 piece set which include 3 lipsticks, five eyeshadows, a blush/bronzer duo, a lipgloss, Opulash mascara, and a powder/ blush brush. out of this 13 products I own only 9 which are the eyeshadows, lipsticks, and lip gloss.

Lets start talking about the packaging, Mac has always done a great job with packaging but in this collection in my opinion they missed a little bit of creativity. It is just a matte purple packaging on everything, Selena's signature is inscribed in each products in and outside.

Lets start with the lipsticks.

The first shade is called "Dreaming of You", it is described as a deep wine shade (matte). This is a great shade beacuase since is matte it stays in your lips for a longer time, I had no problem using it by itself straight from the tube without any lip liner but if you like you may use it with MAC's Deep Purple and it would look great.

Next shade would be "Como La Flor", this shade is an amplified formula that is described in the MAC store as a muted cherry red color. In my opinion this shade is one of the most beautiful types of red that goes well with every skin color because it is a blue based red, very buttery.

Lastly we have "Amor Prohibido" I love this one as an everyday morning lipstick, is a muted soft brown color that glides beautifully on the lips. The best lip liner that I found looked great with this shade is the one from Jordana in the shade "Twany".

Bidi Bidi Bom Bom lipgloss, Oh god I am in love with this lipsticks, this is a baby pink with silver micro glitters in it. you may wear this product alone or layer it on top of any lipstick. if you want to layer it I recommend that you just layer a little bit on the center of the lips over the shade Dreaming of You, when you layer these two products together they create the most 3D lip effect that I have ever seen on my life.

Is it the Beat- this is just a matte black shade. this shade was originally inspired because one of Selena's favorite color was black.

No Me Queda Mas- This is a Matte brown, very pigmented, great for layering on the crease.

Missing My Baby- This is a very soft almost flesh color, perfect for placing it as a transition color.

Fotos y Recuerdos- I am in love with this shade because It just a matter baby pink which is great for an everyday color.

Selena- I cant describe this shade because its name and is color says it all.

Find the right foundation color without getting color matched.

Getting the right shade is extremely difficult specially if you cant sample try the foundation, but there are ways to get right shade in any foundation you like whether is High End or Drugstore brand.

First things first, find your undertone. While the surface of your face will always change color due to many things but the most common will be sun exposure and acne, your undertone will always be the same. Therefore knowing the undertone is the key to finding the right shade for you.

Types of undertones:

• Cool: your skin is pink, red or blue.
• Warm: is more like a golden, peachy or yellow.
• Neutral: this is a combination between both cool and warm.

Determining your undertone:

Turn your wrist around and take a look at you veins, if your veins have a olive or greenish color then your undertone is warm, if they have a purple or blue tone then you have cool undertone, lastly if you cant see the color of your veins or they have both green and blue this means that your undertone is neutral.

Now that we know what our undertone is we are gonna move up to skin types.

• If your skin is oily you may want to choose matte finish foundation or use powder foundation.
• For dry skin is best if you choose a hydrating cream under a stick foundation.
• If you have sensitive skin you need to get a foundation that is hypoallergenic foundation, for example
• Urban Decay all Nighter, Chanel VITALUMIÈRE AQUA, Neutrogenea Healthy Skin.
• If you have combination skin it is best for you to use any foundation either liquid, powder or cream as long as it has some type of SPF in it.
• For uneven complexions choose a foundation that has a medium to full coverage.

Now comes the part everyone has been wayting for, the right shade.

Cool Undertone: choose a foundation shade that have a base of red, blue or rose.
Warm Undertone: choose a foundation that have a yellow or gold base.
Neutral Underone: choose shades like buff, ivory, or nude.

6 Easy steps to mantain vivd hair color for up to 3 months.

Is not to anybody's surprise that vivid colors such as blue, green, purple ,pink, red, grey, etc tends to fade away quite quickly. Luckily I am here to tell you how to maintain the color vivid without needing to retouch the color for at least 3 months. I will provide link at the bottom for products I recommend you use.

My secret is that I apply Apple Cider Vinegar diluted with water right after I removed the fresh hair dye.

• Tip # 1- Rinse your hair with COLD water, the coldest that you are able to stand it.

• Tip # 2- Avoid shampoos that contain sulfates.

• Tip # 3- Minimize the amount of time you rinse you hair and just rinse it 3 times a week. If your hair is extremely oily like mine you may use dry shampoo, the one I recommend is called Biotera Dry Shampoo (color care) from Sally's Beauty Supply store.

Reasons why I love this dry shampoo so much is because is invisible, smells great,  it protects your hair color, and is very inexpensive.

• Tip # 4- Reduce the amount of heat you are putting in your hair, the middle setting is perfect because is not too hot, anything hot that you put in you hair will accelerate the process of your color fading.

• Tip # 5- Avoid prolonged time in the sun. If by some reason you have to be in the sun for more than an hour the you should consider wearing a hat.

• Tip # 6- This tips is really optional. to be completely honest I only do this when I come from the beach because salt water fades your hair color by a 60%.

Is a product called Go Deep Overtone Weekly Treatment, you put this on approx. 15-20 minutes before you shower, rinse it out with COLD water and that is it you have fresh color again without having to redye it all over again.
* Overtone have a large variety of color selections, its inexpensive as well and lasts you a very long time if you use it the way I do.

120 Makeup Palette

Hi my beautiful beauty gurus out there i am going to review today the 120 Makeup Palette from BH Cosmetics.

This eyeshadows are very highly pigmented, also they are very blendable and  easy to work with. there are so many colors that you can do really any makeup you would like because you have to mix match them. I personally love this palette you have from dark colors to very light colors and for the prize is worth it.

Oviously eventho they are highly pigmented i recomend using a base or a primer to help the eyeshadow stay longer and not crease, literraly they will last you all day long w.o having to apply more.
